Visakhapatnam: The11th edition of the Credai Property Expo concluded on Sunday with strong footfall and encouraging buyer sentiment, pointing to renewed momentum in Visakhapatnam’s real estate market.

Over 14,000 visitors, including families, first-time homebuyers, investors and non-resident Indians, attended the three-day event held at the Gadiraju Palace Convention Center on Beach Road. Leading developers from the region showcased a wide range of residential and commercial projects.

More than 850 projects were on display, spanning integrated townships, apartments, gated communities, villas and environmentally sustainable developments. Banks and allied service providers also participated.

Developers said visitors showed keen interest, spending time comparing projects and seeking clarity on pricing, statutory approvals and construction schedules. Affordable housing, gated communities, villas and ready-to-move-in homes emerged as the most preferred segments.

Speaking at the valedictory function, Credai Visakhapatnam president E. Ashok Kumar said the response exceeded expectations, with strong footfall, serious enquiries, on-the-spot bookings and follow-up site visits highlighting the value of a trusted platform connecting developers and buyers.

Chairman V Dharmender said the expo went beyond property showcases, featuring panel discussions on the city’s real estate outlook, the impact of IT and allied industries on urban growth, and the role of culture and heritage in tourism. Interactions with bureaucrats and domain experts reflected optimism about future housing demand, he added.

Chapter secretary V Sreenu said improved layout planning and crowd management ensured a smoother visitor experience and more focused interactions.

The valedictory programme included the presentation of the B.R. Raju Memorial Awards 2025 to meritorious B.Arch students of Andhra University. Hoarding sponsors were felicitated in recognition of their support. Prizes were awarded to winners in the Builder and Building Material Supplier categories, and a walk-in participant won the bumper draw prize, a Honda Activa two-wheeler sponsored by Hamsa Honda.
